Richard and Pat Nelson are helping the ministry of MEDA in Siguatepeque, Honduras, which is dedicated to training pastors in Central America. Specifically, they have volunteered to help the ministry by joining the maintenance staff. MEDA has thirteen acres and many buildings which need constant attention. After just two trips to MEDA, Rhich and Pat were convinced that they could contribute to the ministry by relieving some of the maintenance burden.

Back home in Siguatepeque
We had a wonderful visit in El Salvador with new friends. We only planned to stay for just the weekend, but had car troubles about an hour inside the El Salvador border.
We were indeed blessed to have our friend Geraldo's brother-in-law, Stanley, come pick us up. Thank-you, GOD!!!!
The city of San Salvador is very clean and is somewhat modeled after the city of Miami, Florida. Downtown has big shopping malls with modern parking garages that have elevators. All in all, it was a great visit, especially with our new friends.

House Plans
We received some bad news from our contractor regarding the house by the river. It was our intention to rehab the house to save money but the contractor says it has to be totally demolished and rebuilt from scratch. Foundation, walls and roof are crumbling after many years of vacancy. The foundation was not properly constructed and would not hold the weight of our proposed remodel plan. The good news is we get to design our own floor plan from scratch which means a more “open” floor plan as opposed to the maze of rooms we originally were trying to work with.
